In 2019, Here East and Jim Boulton’s ‘50 Years of the Internet’ event celebrated the inception and history of the Internet. The design to promote the event used an oscilloscope image of ‘OCR A’, created by Marcus Lyall ‘OCR A’ the very first web font, which was manipulated to create a series of moving logos and brand visuals. The centre-piece of the exhibition was a retro installation of 50 screens showcasing key moments, products, and people from the last 50 years of the Internet.
